Customer Service Representative

Description

Leggett & Platt is looking for a Customer Service Representative who will accurately process customer orders and ensure timely and complete shipments.

Primary Duties

Take customer orders via phone, fax, email, or electronic data input (EDI).
Understand & practice the Streamline Shipping Process.
Coordinate with manufacturing locations and review all elements of order fulfillment from order entry to invoicing to ensure customer expectations are met.
Manage customer experience by clearly communicating any issues that might impact our ability to meet customers’ expectations in terms of product, delivery, documentation & other critical measurements.
Send confirmations to the customer via phone, fax, email, or EDI.
Maintain customer price files.
Notify required personnel of any special orders.
Assist the billing process to verify inventory as complete & correct.
Issue Credit Memos to customers when necessary.
Maintain RMA (Returned Material Authorization) Log.
Keep customers informed on any changes or problems.
Continue education on product line.

Qualifications

Excellent computer skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.
Basic familiarity with logistics and Import/Export a plus.
Excellent communication skills.
Good math and verbal skills.
Must work well in a team and promote a positive working relationship with coworkers, internal departments, and customers.
Previous office experience (customer service preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent.

Description

Line Assembler responsibilities include safely assembling and packaging adjustable bed bases to meet the customer's satisfaction in an efficient and organized manner, as well as assembling bases to the correct bill of material (BOM) or route sheet and Quality Inspection Plans. Additionally, Line Assemblers make any necessary repairs to products; assist in keeping documentation and tags organized; initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity related to product, process, and the quality system Identify; and record any problems relating to the product, process, and the quality system.

The Comfort Core Operator responsibilities include operating coilers and assemblers to produce comfort core units. We are seeking applicants who are mechanically inclined and able to operate a forklift. Wages start at $19.42/hour, plus $1.00/hour night shift premium.
